Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of gas compression skids, industrial refrigeration systems, and LNG plants. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our systems. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects from concept to commissioning.


Roles & Responsibilities:

1.Process Design: Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications for gas compression skids, industrial refrigeration systems, and LNG plants.

2.Equipment Sizing and Selection: Perform calculations and simulations to determine the appropriate sizing and selection of equipment such as compressors, heat exchangers, separators, and pumps.

3.Heat and Mass Balance: Conduct heat and mass balance calculations to optimize system performance and ensure adherence to design specifications.

4.Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, NFPA) to ensure the safety and reliability of our systems.

5.Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency improvements, and cost reduction through the application of advanced engineering principles and technologies.

6.Technical Support: Provide technical support to project teams, including troubleshooting process-related issues during design, construction, and commissioning phases.

7.Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies to identify and mitigate potential hazards and operational risks.

8.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate design concepts, analysis results, and project status to internal stakeholders and clients.

9.Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation, to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.

10.Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.

  3. Knowledge in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or ProMax will be added advantage.

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  6. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  7. Willing to travel overseas for customer meetings.
